Do you like doing art projects with your kids but a) don't have a
fully stocked art supply room, b) don't want your antique dining
room table covered in paint, and c) enjoy having someone else
clean up after you but, due to the current economic conditions,
you have been forced to dismiss the domestic staff? The
Museum of Children's Art (MOCHA) in Old Town Oakland is the
place for you. In addition to their studio art programs, they also
offer the drop in studio where kids (18 months to five years) and
their folks or other caregivers can, for $7 per person get down
and dirty with paint, papier mache, clay, feathers, and other
materials to create their own masterpieces under the guidance
of professional teaching artists. Each week has a different
theme.
